The Delta Upsilon Fraternity’s “Building Better Men Scholarships” are awards which recognize incoming male freshmen enrolling at the Georgia Institute of Technology. There are three awards available: one $1,500 award, and two $500 awards. These recipients display the core values in which Delta Upsilon Fraternity was founded: Advancement of Justice, Development of Character, Promotion of Friendship, and Diffusion of Liberal Culture.
Delta Upsilon takes pride in its excelling academics, posting a Fall 2017 brotherhood GPA 3.44 (undergraduate male GPA being a 3.21, IFC fraternities GPA being a 3.31) and an Associate Member GPA of 3.70. By any means, our grades are an impressive feat for attending one of the most prestigious and rigorous universities in the world, and demonstrates our emphasis on academics for incoming freshmen. We also strive to build our brothers into better overall men through social, philanthropic, and campus involvement. Delta Upsilon is a diverse brotherhood. A Delta Upsilon man embraces the opportunity to learn from others’ perspectives, and uses this knowledge to become an improved, well-rounded man.
